Dom Tower

The Dom Tower is considered the symbol of Utrecht and, at 112.5 meters, is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. The tower was part of the St. Martin's Cathedral, also known as the Dom Church, and was built between 1321 and 1382 according to a design by Jan van Henegouwen. The Dom Tower can only be visited with a guide during a tour. Climbing the Dom Tower is a sportive achievement and an absolute highlight of your visit to Utrecht. Together with a guide, you climb all 465 steps of the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Along the way, the guide provides information at different levels about the history and construction of the Dom Tower. A tour lasts about an hour.
