Update April 1:

The measures against the spread of COVID-19 will be extended until Tuesday 28th of April. Unfortunately, our facilities will remain closed until that date, with the exception of our hotel room facilities, and we have had to cancel the Easter brunches. Stay healthy and help each other where possible!

With kind regards on behalf of our entire team,

Anne Deenik – van der Valk & Folkert Deenik

Update March 27, 7.30 AM:

From the opening of ‘De Biltsche Hoek’, a household name in De Bilt since 1956, it has never happened that the doors are closed to our guests. Unfortunately, the reality is different and we are forced to close our hotel and all our facilities from Friday, March 27 to at least April 6, 2020. This is in connection with the measures taken by the government to combat COVID-19. In the current national situation, the health and safety of our employees and guests has absolute priority. All our guests have now been contacted about existing bookings within this period.

Keep safe & healthy. Help and support each other where possible. We hope to welcome our guests again with open arms and unchanged hospitality.

On behalf of all our colleagues: see you soon!

Anne Deenik – van der Valk & Folkert Deenik

Update March 16, 1 PM:

Van der Valk Hotels & Restaurants applies stricter measures.

As a family business, Van der Valk gives the highest priority to the health, safety and well-being of our guests and employees. In view of the recent developments and the newly announced government measures, Van der Valk closed all its Dutch and Belgian restaurants until Monday the 6th of April. Our hotels are open. We naturally hope that this will help prevent further spread of COVID-19.

Our family business has been an important meeting place in our society for many decades. Many social networks are established within our branches and are maintained there. The steps we are taking now therefore feel as unreal and have long been seen as unthinkable. However, in these exceptional circumstances, there is no other choice. We trust that, we as a society, will do whatever it takes to put an end to this situation and that we will be strong and resilient in the subsequent recovery. For the most frequently asked questions and answers, we would like to refer you to RIVM.

With kind regards,

Anne Deenik – van der Valk & Folkert Deenik

Update March 15, 6 PM:

We are closing our restaurant and bar immediately and are currently considering the course of the coming weeks. The hotels and the meeting rooms will remain open until further notice with adapted breakfast, lunch & dinner options. We will, of course, keep you informed via this website!

Greetings on behalf of the entire team,

Anne Deenik – van der Valk & Folkert Deenik
